Clothesline

This is the first time I've seen cloths drying in the open air in San Francisco for many years.

Our last apartment had the fixtures for a clothesline to run from our kitchen window to a pulley on a pole in the back yard. Just as in this picture. I never put the rope up because we had a dryer in the shed downstairs. And I liked that I could pull my cloths out of the dryer and fold them while they were hot. I only had to iron dress shirts and trousers.

I was able to take this picture because the Safeway at 7th and Cabrillo is being demolished.
